After careful planning for weeks, Danny surprised me by proposing on a rainy Friday night on the Hoboken waterfront. Even though it didn't go as he had planned, it was still the sweetest and most perfect proposal.
The Set Up Danny and I have been together for 8 years and after talking about getting married for quite some time, I was able to convince him to take me ring shopping in April. During the weekend of my birthday, we picked out THE ring together. Naturally I became very anxious waiting for the day when he would finally propose. Shortly after, we invited our friends out to dinner in Montclair for a joint birthday celebration for Melissa, Christina, and me. That's when Danny suggested to our friends that we go to Hoboken to celebrate his upcoming birthday. I was very excited because Danny doesn't usually care much for celebrating his birthday. He decided we would all go out for his birthday on May 23rd. A Rainy Friday Night Friday had finally come. Little did I know that it would be more than just a fun night out with friends. Danny and Diana came over to pick me up and as usual, I was running late. As we were driving into Hoboken, it began to rain and as we got closer and closer to our destination, it started to pour!
