Time Flies When You're Planning a Wedding
I can't believe the summer is coming to an end! I've been consumed with wedding planning for the past 2 months and time just flew! Although I have to say, I did get a lot of important things done:
- Got organized with my own wedding binder and Pinterest board
- Drafted a guest list (yes there's an Excel spreadsheet)
- Picked the venue and set the date
- Established a wedding budget (yup there's an Excel spreadsheet for that too)
- Created a wedding website
- Decided on wedding colors
- Picked our bridal party
- Said yes to THE dress
- Helped the girls pick out their bridesmaids dresses
- Approved Danny's formal wear choice for himself and the boys
- Secured an amazing hair and makeup artist and our officiant for the ceremony (that's what family is for)
- Researched photographers and videographers
- Bought my wedding band (I know it's super early but Diamond Castle was having a 20-30% off sale on Sunday that I could not pass up and the band I found looks like it was made for my engagement ring; it matches perfectly!)
What's Left?
At this rate, I may not have much to do in the last few months before the wedding! That's wishful thinking. Of course there is still a lot to do!
- I have to actually choose a photographer and videographer. Because Danny is also picky about this, this seems to be one of the hardest decisions I've had to make.
- Take our engagement photos while the trees still have green leaves. For not really outdoorsy people, Danny and I have a weird thing for pictures and videos outside when the leaves are green. Those of you who listened to my pre-engagement complaints understand this.
- I have to decide if I can afford a florist to make all of my centerpieces or if I'm going the DIY route. I did choose orchids as my main flower and they are so expensive!
I went back to the classroom yesterday and the realization that school is starting soon finally hit me. I pulled everything out of the closets so I could set up and of course, I did not finish. No worries, I shall be back in the classroom again tomorrow. It's time to get organized for a great school year!
